Singing for Therapy
Singing makes you feel good - it helps reduce stress and improve breathing and posture. Also a choir is a great place for forging friendships and support networks.
I have run singing sessions for a Parkinson's Disease support group, an ME support group and support, with Chris Parfitt, a weekly "Singing for the Brain" group for people with Dementia and their carers at Kenn Road Methodist Church, Clevedon which is funded and managed by the Alzheimer's Society. There is a waiting list to join this group - please contact the Alzheimer's Society for details.
From January 2014 to July 2015 I was privileged to be the Musical Director of the Penny Brohn (Cancer Care) Community Choir.
